Ahead of their meeting at the White House, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni noted that the two countries share a "historically strong" link that remains strong regardless of which party is running the two governments.
Earlier in the day, Meloni delivered a speech on the US Senate floor and met with House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy and former Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
