Baku-APA. The State Department is easing its travel warning for the West African nation of Ivory Coast and allowing nonessential diplomats and most family members of embassy staff to return to the country, APA reports quoting news.yahoo.com website.

The department says that security conditions have improved following an extended postelection crisis.

US officials say Americans should continue to exercise caution in Ivory Coast due to the potential for unrest.

Minor children of embassy staffers will not be allowed to return.

The department ordered the departure of all nonessential diplomats and the families of embassy staff last December after disputed elections led to clashes between the internationally recognized winner of the vote and the incumbent.
