Baku – APA. A house fire in a poor neighborhood south of the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires on Thursday killed eight people, seven of them children from the same family, APA reports quoting “Reuters”. Police and attorney Cristina Larroca investigated the site after neighbors indicated it may have been arson. The mother of the family survived because she had apparently stepped out of the house, but was injured when the home burst into flames. "Of course it’s going to move anyone who is affected by circumstances like this. There are seven children dead -- and one adult -- but it’s the children... It’s an entire family and she is alone," Larroca said. The fire, which started with an explosion, broke out at two in the morning. Locals say the family had argued with another area resident who wanted to splice into power cables running past the home and was not allowed. "I don’t rule out the participation of a third party. That doesn’t mean that later we will confirm it was arson. We may prove it and we may not approve," Larroca added. Newspapers reported one man was under arrest for suspected arson.
