Former U.S. VP Cheney hospitalized for tests

Baku-APA. Former U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney was hospitalized through the weekend in Washington DC for tests, after the 69 year-old fell ill on Friday, U.S. media outlets reported Saturday, APA reports quoting Xinhua News Agency.
Cheney’s spokesman Peter Long said in a statement Cheney was not feeling well on Friday, and was seen by his doctors in their offices at George Washington University.
"On the advice of his physicians, he was admitted to the hospital for further testing. He is expected to remain in the hospital over the weekend," said Long.
Cheney has suffered five heart attacks in 32 years. It is not clear if his conditions is related to his heart troubles. He served as VP under former President George W. Bush, and was seen as playing a big role in launching the Afghanistan and Iraq wars.
