Nancy Pelosi: "It is long past the time to recognize the Armenian Genocide"

"It is long past the time for the United States to formally recognize the Armenian Genocide," noted Speaker Pelosi in her remarks. House Democratic Majority leader Steny Hoyer called on President Barack Obama to recognize the â€œgenocideâ€ and said they supported the â€œgenocideâ€ resolution submitted to the Congress. Dem. Brad Sherman said â€œif Turkey didnâ€™t recognize its past, it could never be a modern country and real friend of Americaâ€. Then leaders of Armenian group in the House of Representatives Frank Pallone and Adam Schiff repeated their well-known ideas based on the Armenian lies. Ambassador Markarian said Armenia shouldnâ€™t be forced to make choice between the recognition of â€œArmenian genocideâ€ and normalization of relations with Turkey. â€œThe U.S. recognition of â€œgenocideâ€ will be strong message to the worldâ€.
