Above 200 000 foreigners leave Libya

Baku – APA. 213 000 foreigners have left Libya since the unrests and civil war started in the country, International Migration Organization said, APA reports quoting The Associated Press.

Most of the foreigners left for Tunisia, Egypt and Niger. Over 500 000 foreigners have been working in Libya before the unrests. They are from Egypt, China, India and other countries. The international agencies said the foreigners needed to fled the country and tens of thousands of dollars are demanded for their evacuation.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon called on the government of Libya to enhance security of the foreigners.
