As Türkiye, we aim to turn COP31, which will be held in Antalya in 2026, into a summit where the voices of all parties can be heard, trust is built, and practical results are achieved, said Hasan Suver, Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Türkiye, during the High-Level Urban Dialogue of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, APA reports.
He noted that the main priorities within this framework include access to climate finance, technology cooperation, bankable project portfolios, carbon markets and sustainable urban practices.
“At the same time, we are setting an example for rebuilding disaster-affected cities in a safer, more resilient and human-centered way. Within this framework, we are working on an international fund called the Sustainable Cities Resilience Fund in order to strengthen the financial base of the ‘Sustainable Cities Declaration’.
Türkiye is resolutely continuing its green development vision towards its 2053 net zero emission target,” he added.
