“We observed most fresh infection cases in November and December. 30% of the conducted tests was positive at that time,” said Yagut Garayeva, head of the Disease Prevention and Control Department of TABIB at the briefing of the Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers today, APA reports.
Y. Garayeva noted that vaccination process started in Azerbaijan on January 18: “Infection cases reached at maximum 2,000-2,500 after it. Today we observe a decrease in infection cases by keeping some activities in social life without applying a strict quarantine regime. The infection rate nears 10%. It is in very good condition. Epidemiological situation in Azerbaijan is under control.”
