UFAZ students given pass campus of University of Strasbourg

Baku. Malahat Najafova – APA. A ceremony was held in Baku Oct. 27 to present pass campus (student ID card) of the University of Strasbourg to students of the French-Azerbaijani University (UFAZ).

Delivering speech at the ceremony, French ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez noted that UFAZ was created on the joint initiative of the Azerbaijani and French presidents.

She said student admission for 4 specialties at UFAZ have been held this year. “141 students entered the university. These students would get education under the terms of the University of Strasbourg and would get its diploma. 13 local teachers, along with French teachers are working at the university,” added the ambassador.

Then, Mustafa Babanli, rector of the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industrial University spoke about the conditions created for the students.

Yagub Piriyev, head of science, higher and secondary special education department at Azerbaijan's Education Ministry, said the establishment of UFAZ gave a new impetus to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and France.
