Director of Shamakhy Astrophysical Observatory named after Nasraddin Tusi, associate member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Eyyub Guliyev said that spring would come to Baku at about 20:57.
The sun will pass from the southern hemisphere to northern hemisphere on March 19. At that moment vernal equinox will be recorded in Azerbaijan.
The day-night equality will be recorded. The astronomic spring will start in the northern hemisphere and continue till June 21.
The first “Chershenbe” (Tuesday) was marked in Azerbaijan on February 25 and the last one on March 18.
