Director of the Republican Seismic Survey Center Gurban Yetirmishli said a press conference on Tuesday that the process will be conducted jointly with a German geological organization within a project and last for two years, APA reports.
According to him, final talks in this regard will take place on September 19-21 in Germany and then it will be decided when the process will be begun.
Yetirmishli said that the Republican Seismic Survey Center gives initial opinion about the seismicity of the areas for construction of all new multi-storied buildings in Baku, as well as other industrial buildings. “Then the Ministry of Emergency Situations strictly controls the construction. In general, buildings are constructed resistant to 9-magnitude earthquakes”, Yetirmishli added.
