Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu – APA. 57th session of the UN Commission on Narcotic Drugs was held in Vienna.
State Commission on Fight Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking told APA that the session focused on the implementation of the Political Declaration and Plan of Action on International Cooperation towards an Integrated and Balanced Strategy to Counter the World Drug Problem, adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2009, in the UN member states.
A report on current drug situation in Azerbaijan was presented to the commission. Head of working group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Mazahir Aliyev also attended the session.
