Baku. Konul Kamilgizi - APA. The Qafqaz University has begun to operate under management of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS), BHOS rector Elmar Gasimov told APA on Thursday.
According to him, at today’s meeting the rector of the Qafqaz University, Ahmet Sanic, made a written request to release him from duty.
“He wasn’t assigned to any position. I will take up the post of rector of the Qafqaz University,” Gasimov added.
The rector also refuted rumors that the Qafqaz University will be renamed.
He noted that this year the enrollment of students at the Qafqaz University will be carried out as in previous years.
“Taking the opportunity, I invite all the literates in the country to study at this university. The teaching process will continue on the campus of the Qafqaz University,” Gasimov said, adding that students and the teaching staff of the university will not change.
