This was envisaged in the decree on making amendments to the presidential decree dated 11 April 2016 on establishment of the State Exam Center public legal person of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to the amendment, the authority of the State Exam Center to conduct scientific-statistical analysis on the results of final exams and present the results to the President of the Republic of the Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education has been canceled.
In another amendment, State Exam Center has been granted the right to give feedback relevant to its activities, conduct analyses and summaries, prepare analytic materials, conduct scientific researches, obtain information from state information centers and resources as well as from “entrance-exit and registration” interdepartment automated information search system, and to put forward proposals on improvement of legislation in the area of public service.
Note that the State Student Admission Commission (SSAC) and the Ministry of Education have long been in disagreement as to conducting scientific-statistic analysis on the results of entrance examinations and presenting the results to the president.
In the end, the powers of the SSAC were given to the State Exam Center.
