The deputy director noted that positive changes have been recorded in the dynamics of tuberculosis in the country in the last 5 years. “If 53.5 TB infection cases were recorded per 100,000 in 2010, this figure reduced to 41.3 in 2015. In general, there is observed increase in focal tuberculosis, decrease in infiltrative tuberculosis, and stability in delayed-type and spread TB in the country.
Akhundova added that TB infection has decreased among children and teenagers in recent years.
