Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. Temperature of minus 4 degrees Celsius in the third decade of November is not typical for Azerbaijan, Maharram Hasanov, a senior research fellow at the Geography Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, told APA on Nov. 22.
He noted that for Azerbaijan the normal temperature in late November is 2-3 degrees C above zero.
“In late November minus temperature can be recorded in the country’s northern districts, whereas it is not typical for Baku,” said Hasanov, adding that such temperature is caused by severe arctic air masses.
The research fellow said the temperature is unlikely to drop up to minus 4 degrees C in the next two days.
