IDEA Public Union told APA that “Emergency care for nature” hotline and mobile group will be established within the framework of the program. Thus, when citizens face illegal cutting down of trees they will be able to convey their complaints and suggestions to IDEA PU. The mobile group will immediately investigate the complaints and gather additional evidences, photos and video materials regarding the problem.
Moreover, the citizens will also be able to address their appeals to the official website (www.ideacampaign.com) of IDEA Public Union. Photos of the area where trees are cut will be available on the website in order to illuminate the problem more clearly. After immediate investigation of complaints and suggestions, gathered evidences and materials will be submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Republic to pass a related decision
IDEA will follow the procedure of settlement of problems reflected in the appeals.
IDEA Public Union played an important role in environmental awareness of people, especially younger generation and implemented large and small-scale environmental projects to support improvement of the natural environment in the country within its 3 years activity. These projects mainly include tree-planting campaigns.
During the campaigns, more than 3,472,000 trees were planted.
