APA reports that the EU Delegation to Azerbaijan held the presentation of grants.
Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Malena Mard said that civil society plays an active role in the development of the country and implementation of reforms: “The European Union is proud of being the largest foreign donor of Azerbaijan’s civil society and supporting the country and its citizens in the democratic development process of the country.”
The EU will finance 15 projects. AZN 3 million has been allocated for 7 projects on rural and regional development. Projects will cover 25 regions and 20 000 farmers.
Projects will be carried out in Baku and the regions within the next 2 years.
Organizations receiving grants from the EU are: UNICEF, Oxfam, World Vision international humanitarian organization, representation of HEKS-EPER international organization in Azerbaijan, AMFA, "Umid" Public Union, Konrad Adenauer Foundation, International Media Support Organization, Public Association for Assistance to Free Economy and Media Rights Institute.
