Baku – APA. Social facilities and schools in Azerbaijan can be provided with heating before the fixed date - November 15 due to cold weather, Rafig Aliyev, Head of Customer Service Department of AzeristiliktÉ™chizat OJSC, told APA.
Aliyev said schools make a request in this regard.
“This issue is regulated by the contract between AzeristiliktÉ™chizat OJSC and Baku city education department and regional education departments. The term of the contract is five months. If a request is received, we can provide heating early. We are currently providing the heating of some boarding schools, maternity hospitals and other medical facilities. But we haven’t received any request from secondary schools so far. Heating supply in mountainous areas will start from November 1,” he added.
The issue of providing heating to schools ahead of schedule was brought up after the increase of diseases among secondary school students due to cold weather.
