Baku. Mubariz Aslanov – APA. There are about 600 acting judges in Azerbaijan, said Javid Huseynov, the Office of Court and Judicial Council Javid Huseynov.
He made the remarks Thursday at the meeting of the parliamentary Committee on law policy and state building.
According to him, this figure has doubled in recent years.
“Despite this, judges still have heavy work loads. In districts, judges receive 30-25 cases per months, while in Baku this number is around a hundred. This is too much. We can still increase the staff, which will help courts to a considerable extent. But I think this is not going to be the only option. We need to look for more solutions,” he added.
