Baku. Farid Mirzayev – APA. There are currently 243,000 visually impaired people in Azerbaijan, the Health Ministry said on Aug.8, APA reported.
The National Ophthalmology Center named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva and the center’s regional department in Masalli and branch in Ganja provide quality service to the visually impared.
“More than 8,000 patients visit the the National Ophthalmology Center named after Academician Zarifa Aliyeva per month. 5,000 of them are the ones who visit the center for the first time. There are a total of 92,976 registered patients,” the ministry said.
