It is not merely a matter of educating the younger generation based on national and moral values; it is about cultivating citizens who are conscious of their national identity, think independently, accurately assess modern challenges, and are prepared to contribute to the state’s development and the people’s well-being. For the sustainable development of the state is defined not only by economic and technological capabilities but also by its moral foundations, historical memory, and the patriotism of its citizens,” Ramin Mammadov, Chairman of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
Our approach is clear: religious values should serve human dignity, compassion, justice, mutual respect, social solidarity, and peace. There is no contradictioj between Azerbaijan’s secular state model and religious-spiritual values. On the contrary, freedom of religious belief, the principles of the rule of law, secularism, and respect for national-spiritual values are mutually reinforcing elements that strengthen the country's social stability and solidarity.
