Cambodia and Azerbaijan have complementary economic characteristics that create great potential for commercial cooperation, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Hun Manet said during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Cambodia Business Forum held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.

"While Azerbaijan has strengths in energy, petrochemicals, renewable energy, agricultural technologies, logistics, and digital infrastructure, Cambodia stands out for its dynamic manufacturing sector, developed agriculture, young and adaptable workforce, expanding use of clean energy, and favorable preferential trade access to regional markets. By combining these comparative advantages, we can create a dynamic ecosystem in which our businesses can grow together," the Prime Minister noted.

According to him, economic cooperation between Cambodia and Azerbaijan is at an early stage, and there are extensive opportunities for its development:

"We must focus our main attention on expanding the range of traded goods and services, promoting direct contacts between business entities, as well as exploring new areas of investment and economic cooperation.

I am confident that with more active participation from the public and private sectors, Cambodia and Azerbaijan can realize the full potential of economic cooperation and establish a more dynamic, mutually beneficial partnership. In the field of investment, there is a need to ensure greater awareness of the business environments and opportunities in both countries."
