Moscow hopes that diesel supplies from Russia will help stabilize the global market and contribute to resolving the conflict surrounding Iran, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Georgy Borisenko said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Russia hopes that the conflict surrounding Iran will be resolved in a short period of time.
Borisenko also said that Russia is calling on all parties to the conflict in the south of the Arabian Peninsula to refrain from violent actions: “Russia, of course, calls on all parties to the conflict in the south of the Arabian Peninsula to refrain from violent actions and, in any case, considers attacks on civilian infrastructure unacceptable.”
The Russian deputy minister added that Moscow conveys its position, including to Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement (the Houthis).
Borisenko also said that Russia maintains contacts with the Ansar Allah movement: “Russia has had contacts with the Ansar Allah movement for a long time. This is well known to everyone. In addition, the movement’s special representative is in Oman.”
The diplomat noted that there are no travel restrictions for Russian citizens traveling to Saudi Arabia.
