Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow expects to announce soon a new weapon that it has been developing and testing for its vast nuclear arsenal, the world's largest, APA reports, citing Newsweek.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday that Russia was developing new weapons of deterrence, meaning that if the US did not want to voluntarily extend a key arms control treaty it would not be critical for Russia.
“The sophistication of our nuclear deterrence systems is higher than that of any other nuclear state," Putin said, state news agency TASS reported. "And we are developing all of this very actively. What I spoke about in earlier years is all progressing—we are bringing it to perfection."
