More than 11,000 biological samples have been collected from family members and close relatives of missing and hostages during the conflict and entered into the data bank, said Chief of the Main Military Medical Department of the State Security Service, Major General of the Medical Service Rufat Aliyev during his speech at the international conference on "Uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation for addressing the issue of missing persons", APA reports.
He noted that funds were allocated to the state budget by the order signed by the President in 2022 for the purpose of discovering unidentified bodies as a result of the military aggression against Azerbaijan. All expenses were paid from the state budget.
It was stated that the process will continue until the fate of all missing persons is determined.
