“Azerbaijan is located in the Alpine-Himalayan seismic zone. There is no day without 25-30, sometimes 50-60 earthquakes in Azerbaijan,” said the General Director of the Republican Seismological Service Center Gurban Yetirmishli, APA reports.
According to him, a few days ago there were 20 minor tremors in one hour in one area: “However, no one felt it. Such earthquakes are inevitable in seismogenic regions. There is no probability of a catastrophic, devastating quake in Azerbaijan in the upcoming days. The quake may be felt, magnitude 5, magnitude 4, however, these are not scary things.”
