Identities of 187 missing persons from the First Karabakh War have been confirmed

Based on the results of forensic molecular-genetic examination of the discovered remains, the identities of 187 missing persons from the First Karabakh War have been confirmed, publicly announced, and returned to their families, said Ali Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief of the State Security Service, during his speech at the international conference on "Uniting efforts and enhancing cooperation for addressing the issue of missing persons", APA reports.

It was noted that they were buried in accordance with legal requirements and national religious traditions.
