Human skeletons and material-cultural examples found in Keshikchidagh

General Director of Archeological, Ethnography, and Anthropology Institutions of the ANAS, professor Abbas Seyidov has reviewed archeological excavation works in Keshikchidagh State Historical-Cultural Reserve in Aghstafa district with an employee of the Institute, professor Hidayat Jafarov and Ph.D. in history Yagub Mammadov, Institution told APA.

Head of excavation works in the territory is a doctor of philosophy in history, associate professor Safar Ashurov.

As a result of the research, a 21-meter-diameter, cromlech-surrounded burial mound, dating back to the first half of the 1st millennium, was found in the kurgan field. Human skeletons and material culture samples were discovered from the mound consisting of two chambers.
