Leaders of religious communities in Azerbaijan appealed to world religious leaders, parliaments, international organizations in connection with the genocide of Azerbaijanis on March 31, ONA reports.
The appeal reads that genocides committed in history on the basis of national, racial, religious affiliation remain a black spot in the memory of humanity and are considered the greatest sins against humanity.
It is emphasized that the Azerbaijanis experienced these tragic crimes, and the repetition of these disasters constantly worries Azerbaijani society, including its religious part.
The appeal notes that official and public circles of Azerbaijan inform international organizations and the world community about the ethnic cleansing and genocide committed by Armenian extremists in the territory of Azerbaijan.
“Armenian extremists who represent themselves as victims of genocide should know that justice will sooner or later prevail. We, religious leaders, leaders of religious communities once again appeal to the international community, to international organizations. We urge to give a legal assessment of the political crimes of the Armenian invaders against the Azerbaijani people, ”the message says.
The appeal was signed by Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Board of Muslims of the Caucasus, Archbishop of Baku and Azerbaijan Alexander, Head of the Mountain Jews Community in Azerbaijan Milih Yevdayev.
