Russia insists on a reliable resolution of the root causes of the crisis in Ukraine rather than a temporary ceasefire, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, calls for a ceasefire are aimed solely at giving Kyiv breathing space.
"All this 'whining' is aimed solely at giving Kyiv breathing space to restore its combat capabilities at the expense of its foreign sponsors," Lavrov said during his speech at the Minsk Security Conference.
