The identification of the whereabouts of missing persons is important, said international expert on human rights and humanitarian law Afarin Shahidzade today as part of visit to Zangilan, APA reports.
“My experience is related to missing persons and locating the missing. It is a pleasure for me to be back in Karabakh. This is my fourth visit, and I see that there is a significant difference. Construction has been carried out, and people are returning. Of course, time is needed to clear the areas of mines because the territory is heavily mined, and mine clearance operations continue,” Afarin Shahidzade emphasized.
She particularly highlighted the importance of identifying the whereabouts of missing persons: “Relatives and loved ones of the missing persons want to know what happened to them.”
