In the liberated city of Jabrayil, residents have been celebrating City Day in their native land with a festive mood for the second year in a row, APA reports.
At the beginning of the event, a photo and interactive exhibition reflecting the ancient and modern history and cultural heritage of the region was demonstrated, as well as “face art” and interactive fun games were organized for the city’s young residents.
As a continuation of the event, artists performed a concert program and provided a good mood to those gathered for the celebration. Vahid Hajiyev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, Murad Huseynov, Deputy Minister of Culture, Novras Jafarov, Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Jabrayil, Zangilan and Gubadli regions, city intellectuals, and public representatives participated in the event dedicated to City Day.
It should be noted that Jabrayil city was liberated from occupation on October 4, 2020 during the 44-day Patriotic War. In accordance with the Decree of Mr. President Ilham Aliyev "On the Establishment of City Days in the Liberated Territories of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated July 31, 2023, which aims to perpetuate the historic victory won in the Patriotic War, October 4 is solemnly celebrated every year as Jabrayil City Day.
