Chairman of Azerbaijan Council of Elders congratulates the People of Azerbaijan on Novruz Holiday

“The most sacred, ancient, dear and pleasant holiday – Novruz Holiday comes to our land. Even though having painful fate, this holiday is never forgotten and is our national holiday”, said Fattah Heydarov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Council of Elders, member of Milli Majlis, ONA reports.

“The awakening of nature and life begins with Novruz. The people of Azerbaijan celebrate it festively and begin to celebrate a month ago. Novruz holiday is a holiday of holiness and cleanness. People celebrate four “Tuesdays”, one month before the Novruz. Each of these Tuesdays is dedicated to one of the four nuances vital to life - fire, soil, water and air. This shows that Novruz is one of the oldest and wisest holidays in the world”, he said in his congratulatory letter.
