On October 22, 2022, International Charity bazaar is organized at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex in Baku, APA reports.
The Bazaar is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Azerbaijan-UN Partnership, the third anniversary of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Non-Aligned Movement and the UN Day, annually celebrated on October 24 worldwide.
Within the framework of the event, national cuisine samples and souvenirs representing the national cultures of different countries accredited in Azerbaijan are sold at symbolic prices for charity purposes.
In accordance with the practice of similar charity events held at various UN headquarters on an annual basis, a contest for valuable prizes is held during Bazaar. The event also features diverse cultural program consisting of national dances and music performances of the mentioned countries, and Azerbaijan.
Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the charity bazaar. The total profits from the ticket sale for entry and competition, as well as the sales conducted at Bazaar will be allocated to the UNICEF's project on children with disabilities in Azerbaijan.
The organizers of the event are the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Office of the UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan and the Youth Organization of the Non-Aligned Movement. The event is also supported by Azerbaijan International Development Agency, BP Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State Tourism Agency, National Council of Youth Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, İTicket.az, and the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation.
Algeria, Argentina, Brazil, China, Croatia, Cuba, Czech Republic, Egypt, Estonia, France, Georgia, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Morocco, Pakistan, Palestine, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Ukraine and Venezuela ,as well as UN, Eurasian Regional Center of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum, European Union, International Turkish Culture and Heritage Foundation and Cooperation Youth Forum are participants of the Charity Bazaar.
