In 2025, approximately 350 organ transplant surgeries were performed, said the Coordination Center for Organ Donation and Transplantation under the Ministry of Health in response to an APA's inquiry.
It was stated that among these surgeries, there were approximately 100 kidney transplants and around 60 liver transplants: “At the same time, 2 heart transplants, approximately 30 bone marrow transplants, and about 130 corneal transplant procedures were carried out.”
It was noted that more than 50 of these transplant surgeries were performed on children, while nearly 300 were performed on adults.
