Due to the cold weather in the autumn-winter season, the probability of the spread of acute respiratory viral infections, including influenza, is increasing in the country, the Ministry of Health said in response to APA's inquiry.
It was reported that for this purpose, in order to strengthen preventive and anti-epidemic measures among the population, the Ministry of Health has brought completely safe and high-quality influenza vaccine preparations manufactured by the French company "Sanofi Pasteur". In accordance with the relevant Order of the Minister of Health Teymur Musayev, the vaccination campaign will start from October 8, 2025.
It is especially recommended that healthcare workers, pregnant women, as well as people over 6 months of age with chronic respiratory diseases be vaccinated against influenza.
Vaccination against influenza is free of charge and is carried out in state medical institutions that provide outpatient and polyclinic services to the population at their place of residence or work.
