John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret, and John M. Martinis are the winners of this year’s award in the field of physics.
The scientists were recognized for their discoveries in macroscopic quantum tunneling and the quantization of energy in electrical circuits.
For reference, last year’s Nobel Prize in Physics (2024) was awarded to John J. Hopfield and Geoffrey E. Hinton.
