"The results of research conducted by scientists show that the list of plants to be included in the Red Book has doubled," Sayyara Jamshid, director general of the Institute of Botany, told APA.
She said 121 rare Azerbaijani and Caucasian endemics spread in Karabakh, which underwent occupation for 30 years and is famous for its unique flora, most of which had to be included in the III edition:
"Only 58 out of 121 Karabakh species were assessed in the II edition. Employees of the Institute of Botany, as well as botanists working in other institutions, compiled new lists.
