Greek specialists conduct workshop on “The new trends in hospitality and tourism industries” in Baku

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva – APA. The workshop on “The new trends in hospitality and tourism industries” has been organized in Baku by Azerbaijani Culture and Tourism Ministry and Tourism Ministry of Greece, APA reports. Culture and Tourism Minister of Azerbaijan Abulfas Garayev addressing the opening ceremony said the workshop would last till February 6. The aim of the workshop is to qualify the employees of hotels and master necessary management skills in tourism companies. The minister mentioned that Greece and Azerbaijan had signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of tourism four years before and said the specialists of the two countries cooperated within the framework of that document.

Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Greece to Azerbaijan Ioannis Metaxas said they attached great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan in tourism.
“There are historical links between the two countries. Our aim is to strengthen friendship between the nations. This workshop serves this purpose,” he said.

The workshop has been organized for 120 people, including hotel and restaurant managers, heads of tourism companies, teachers and students of Azerbaijan Institute of Tourism. Ten specialists of Greek Ministry of Tourism are leading the workshop.
