Azerbaijani ombudsman meets with her Dagestani counterpart

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. Azerbaijanâ€™s Ombudsman Elmira Suleymanova received ombudsman of Dagestan Republic of Russian Federation Svetlana Alisultanova. Press service of Ombudsmanâ€™s Office told APA that they reviewed the implementation of the bilateral contract signed between ombudsman offices of Dagestan and Azerbaijan and discussed issues on improving future cooperation. Ombudsmen made a decision to pay visits to the regions of the two republics and continue to hold meetings with the local people.

The sides agreed to discuss in Guba the work done concerning the implementation of National Action Plan on the Protection of Human Rights in Azerbaijan Republic, hold events on the 60th anniversary of the Council of Europe and 50th anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights.

They also decided to hold joint events on the 20th anniversary of United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, events on 2009 â€œChildrenâ€™s yearâ€ under the order of Azerbaijani President and events with participation of Azerbaijani children living in Dagestan.
