Rasim Aliguliyev: Virtual Azerbaijani Secondary School should be opened

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva â€“ APA. â€œCommon information environment should be formed for the Azerbaijanis living all over the world. First of all, â€œVirtual Azerbaijani Secondary Schoolâ€ consisting of e-versions of the textbooks approved by Education Ministry should be opened in order to bring up young generation of the world Azerbaijanis,â€ director of Information Technologies Institute of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Rasim Aliguliyev told APA. He said that the great majority of the Azerbaijanis living in various countries wish their children to get education in Azerbaijani. The quickest way to solve this problem is to open â€œVirtual Azerbaijani Secondary Schoolâ€.
â€œIrrespective of time, place, political situation, the realization of this idea will create conditions for the Azerbaijanis living abroad to read, write in their mother tongue, study the countryâ€™s literature, history, geography and culture. Placement of electronic versions of all secondary school textbooks, methodical aids and programs on the Web portal of â€œVirtual Azerbaijani Secondary Schoolâ€ may be very important for solving these problems. The realization of this project, usage of forms of distance education may contribute to studying of the Azerbaijanis living abroad,â€ he said.
Rasim Aliguliyev said â€œVirtual Azerbaijani Higher Schoolâ€ might be opened as the continuation of the project.
