International Visegrad Fund starts admission for scholarships

The International Visegrad Fund offers Master’s and Post-Graduate (Post-Master’s) Scholarships for study/research projects of 1 to 4 semesters. Given the budget of EUR 1,884,000, the Fund will be able to award about 480 semesters in total in the academic year 2009/2010, Education Ministry’s Press Service told APA
Citizens of the following countries can apply: Albania (AL), Armenia (AM), Azerbaijan (AZ), Belarus (BY), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BA), Croatia (HR), the Czech Republic (CZ), Georgia (GE), Hungary (HU), Macedonia (MK), Moldova (MD), Montenegro (MN), Poland (PL), the Russian Federation (RU), Serbia (RS), Slovakia (SK) and Ukraine (UA). The same rules are applicable to Kosovar scholars.
All applicants must have finished at least 4 semesters of university at the time of applying.
The following scholarship schemes are available:
Intra-Visegrad Scholarships
for scholars coming from one of the V4 countries (CZ, HU, PL or SK) who plan to study in any V4 country other than that of their citizenship
Successful applicants within this scheme will receive scholarships of EUR 2,000/semester and the host university/institute will receive a support of EUR 1,500/semester
.Out-Going Scholarships
for outstanding students or Master’s degree holders from V4 countries to study at acknowledged universities in AL, AM, AZ, BY, BA, HR, GE, MK, MD, MN, RS and UA
Successful applicants within this scheme will receive scholarships of EUR 2,500/semester and the host university/institute will receive a support of EUR 1,500/semester
.In-Coming Scholarships
for outstanding scholars who wish to study at accredited universities in V4 countries and who are citizens of the following countries:
AL, AM, AZ, BY, BA, HR, GE, MK, MD, MN, RU, RS and UA
(Please note that the same rules are applicable to Kosovar scholars.)
Successful applicants within this scheme will receive scholarships of EUR 2,500/semester and the host university/institute will receive a support of EUR 1,500/semester
.Scholarship Program for Belarusian Students
for scholars coming to the V4 countries from Belarus
(altogether 80 semesters annually)
Successful applicants within this scheme will receive scholarships of EUR 2,500/semester and the host university/institute will receive a support of EUR 1,500/semester
Scholarship Program for Ukrainian Students
Deadline for all scholarship applications is January 31 at 23.59 CET.
