Japanese government sponsor building and reconstruction of four medical centers in Azerbaijan

Baku. Lachin Sultanova–APA. On Wednesday, Japan’s government and four Azerbaijani non-governmental organizations signed grant deals within the “Grassroots and Human Security” Grant Assistance Program. $ 346 417 projects will cover construction of medical station in Husulu Village of Agjabedi Region, emergency ambulance station in Talalar Village of Balakan Region, improvement of gynecology hospital in Ivanovka Village of Ismayilli Region and reconstruction of Ganja City Emergency Ambulance Hospital. Masamitsu Oki, Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan said at the signing ceremony that so far 114 projects amounted to $ 7 983 026 were realized within the “Grassroots and Human Security” Grant Assistance Program, which has been carried out since 2000. The ambassador said 23 projects were related to the healthcare field. Deputy Health Minister of Azerbaijan Elsever Agayev emphasized that great projects were carried out in Azerbaijan with the sponsorship of the Japan’s government. He said Japan held $ 2 –million tender for supplying Azerbaijan with emergency ambulance equipments, which would be brought to Azerbaijan next March.
