New regional centers of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations and new building of the Caspian Rescue Service inaugurated

Baku–APA. Several regional centers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan were inaugurated on Monday, APA southern bureau reports. Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov attended the inauguration ceremony of the new building of Southern Regional Center of the Ministry in Lankaran.

The Minister said the center would serve 7 districts of the region. “There will be no need to send additional forces from Baku during any state of emergency in the region. The regional center has been provided with all cutting-edge equipments and high-qualified personnel”.

The Minister said the Civil Defense Regiment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in Lankaran would also move to the new building soon. “The Ministry of Emergency Situations is a multi-functional organization. As distinct from the previous periods the regional business people will not need to go to Baku for a license of construction of any facility, approval or expertise of the projects. The regional center will address these issues through the “united window system””.

Administrative building of Sumgayit Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has also been inaugurated. Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov familiarized himself with the administrative building and working conditions. Chief of the center Rahim Aliyev said all the structures of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Sumgayit Regional Center covers Sumgayit city, Absheron and Khizi regions.

Administrative building of one more Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has been opened in Salyan region. APA’s Mil-Mughan bureau reports that Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Orujali Hajiyev participated in the opening ceremony. The new center covers 8 regions and towns. The center has been established to prevent man-made disasters. The regional structure has been supplied with mobile power generators, devices and modern fire engines. The center consists of 19 offices and departments.

New building of Caspian Basin Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has also been opened. Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov cut the red ribbon. The minister was told that the main task of Caspian Basin Rescue Service was to prevent spread of oil spilt into the sea, rescue crashed ships and carry out rescue operations in the sea.

Kamaladdin Heydarov said a lot of equipment, ships and devices for carrying out subsea operations had been bought for that purpose.
