Baku hosts scientific-practical conference on “Modern aspects of diagnostics and treatment of woman and man childlessness”

A scientific-practical conference on “Modern aspects of diagnostics and treatment of woman and man childlessness” under the motto of “Stand on guard of gene pool of Azerbaijan” took place in Baku on Monday. The conference-workshop was organized by the Health Ministry, Obstetric and Gynecology think-tank, Republican Dermal and Venereal Diseases Dispensary and “Healthy Family” private medical center, APA reports. The workshop aimed to gather doctors-researchers of this problem widely spread in the country in recent years and to invite young people to check-up before the marriage. Director of the Obstetric and Gynecology think-tank Faiza Aliyeva said 13-14 percent of young families in Azerbaijan were childless, it was observed mostly among the men in 2008. “The problem is that diagnostics and treatment of the childlessness in Azerbaijan are going on a wrong way and this conference will help us to provide check-up and treatment based on the standards”.
Director of the “Healthy Family” private medical center Vugar Eyvazov said not only the problem of childlessness, but also different virus diseases widely spread in Azerbaijan. “Hepatitis B and hepatitis C viruses are identified in every of 10 -11 people in Azerbaijan. Therefore we are inviting the young people to checkup”.
