Eight litigations considered within the framework of program on strategic litigation in the South Caucasus

Baku. Victoria Dementieva–APA. “Eight Azerbaijani litigations were considered within the framework of program on strategic litigation in the South Caucasus, Kamala Laghate, Project Manager of Netherlands Helsinki committee told APA.
To her, “Strategic litigation in the South Caucasus” program is a joint project of Netherlands Helsinki Committee, INTERIGHTS “(Great Britain) NGOs. The program was implemented in the South Caucasus from January, 2006. Above-mentioned NGOs hold various conferences, assemblies and assist lawyers during court procedure. We follow level of the litigation. Court procedure can continue several years and our program covers five years. Some litigations adopted by us are under execution of local courts. Some were sent to European Court of Human Rights. We control 11 litigations from every country. We have eight litigations and we plan to consider three litigations from Azerbaijan next year”, she said.
