The law on minimum subsistence for 2009 goes into effect in Azerbaijan

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev - APA-Economics. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed an order for the application of the Law “on the Minimum Subsistence Level for 2009â€.
The President’s press service said that the Cabinet was instructed to prepare and present to the head of state within a month a set of proposals on bringing existing legislation into line with the law, as well as to ensure the harmonization of laws and regulations of the executive branch with the law.
Azerbaijani parliament adopted the Law “on the Minimum Subsistence Level for 2009†in November.
According to the document, it was proposed to increase the subsistence minimum to AZN 84 per capita, AZN 92 for the economically active people, AZN 65 for pensioners and AZN 69 for children.
