Industrial accidents claim 50 lives in Azerbaijan this year

Baku. Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan counted 190 industrial accidents, including 49 in construction during the period of January-September, 2008.
Nabi Shukurlu, Chief of Azerbaijanâ€™s State Labor Inspectorate, said the number of accidents rose 3.8% this year.
Accidents affected 211 people, including 57 in construction. 50 of the affected people, including 19 in construction died and 161 were injured.
The number of fatal accidents decreased by 30.6% while there was a 22% year-over-year rise in injurious incidents.
