Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev – APA. “No religious group, or Wahhabists can be troubled in Azerbaijan. This is reality. Everybody has the right to ensure his freedom of religion in the country,” Chairwoman of the Parliament’s Standing Commission on Human Rights Rabiyyat Aslanova told APA. She said it was not right to assess the activity of a religious group as fright.

Rabiyyat Aslanova said there was no ground to worry that the number of a religious group members might increase and pose threat to the country.
“There has never been a religious confrontation in Azerbaijan,” she said.
Touching on the explosion in Abu Bakr Mosque Rabiyyat Aslanova regarded it as disrespect to the religious men.
“The offender should be found,” she said.

As regards re-adopting or changing the law on “Freedom of Religion”, the Chairwoman of the Commission said there was no need for it.
“The items in this law ensure normal activity of religious communities in Azerbaijan,” she said.
